With early voting starting on October 7, 2013 for the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Trustees Election on November 5, 2013, the San Bernardino Teachers Association PAGE Committee for Education sent this brochure.

This mailer came by U.S. Mail. In it, the San Bernardino Teachers Association endorses three candidates for the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board of Education: incumbents Danny Tillman, Barbara Flores, and Judi Penman. Not endorsed, but running, are Kaisar Ahmed, Sonia Frernandez, Joe Navarro and Abigail Medina.
The brochure is labeled a Voter Guide.  On the front it says:
    OUR TEACHERS’ CHOICE
SCHOOLS ON THE RIGHT TRACK. STUDENTS ON THE RIGHT PATH.
    PENMAN, FLORES, and TILLMAN
Recommended by your local classroom teachers.
The Teachers’ Choice Team knows that our district must do what it can to keep our schools on

Extra points for correct spelling and grammar.  I especially like the use of the Oxford Comma, though I was forced to abandon it in my own writing by my last employer.
The back of the flier says:

This is the second election cycle that I have covered for the San Bernardino City Unified School District.  Last time, I covered earlier San Bernardino Teachers Association mailings.  In a post dated November 7, 2011, I wrote:
We have a post card from the San Bernardino Teachers Association: front and  back.  This is their third mailer, endorsing Juan Lopez, Sharon “Bobbie” Perong, Margaret Hill and Lynda K. Savage.
In this election, the San Bernardino Teachers Association is endorsing three incumbents, Judi Penman, Dr. Barbara Flores, and Danny Tillman.  In 2011, which was a “pick four” election, they endorsed incumbent Lynda K. Savage (who won), challenger Sharon “Bobbie” Perong (who won), challenger Margaret Hill (who won), and Juan Lopez (who was not in the top four).

In 2011, the San Bernardino Teachers Association sent the identical mailer, with the names of the candidates changed.

The back of the 2011 mailer is almost identical. One of the differences that I note is instead of 2011’s “YOUR LOCAL SAN BERNARDINO CLASSROOM TEACHERS INTERVIEWED ALL THE CANDIDATES AND THE ONLY CANDIDATES WE RECOMMEND FOR THE TEACHERS’ CHOICE TEAM ARE PERONG, LOPEZ, HILL AND SAVAGE” becomes 2013’s “Your local San Bernardino classroom teachers interviewed THE CANDIDATES and the only candidates we recommend for the Teachers’ Choice Team are PENMAN, FLORES, AND TILLMAN.” Obviously, the election date has changed, and the names of the candidates and challengers has changed.  Otherwise, same mailer, both mailed from Huntington Beach, Ashley Bettas is still the PAGE Committee for Education San Bernardino Teachers Association’s treasurer, and that Committee has the same Fair Political Practices Commission number.
